The coaches and players of Farmington Wildcats U-13s had the honour of participating in a parade before Sunday’s Community Shield final between Manchester City and Chelsea.

The opportunity came the Wildcats way courtesy of Liam Moir, manager of the local McDonalds franchise, who had generously sponsored the Wildcats new playing kit for the current season. As part of McDonalds’ community programme and sponsorship of the Community Shield match, franchise holders were invited to nominate teams to be involved in the parade – with the Wildcats being successfully selected as one of the ten teams to participate.

With time ticking the Wildcats moved quickly to secure transport to Birmingham, with all relevant administrative tasks completed in double quick time! Despite a lengthy journey the Farmington youngster were able to absorb the full experience of being part of a major top level match day.

The club are grateful to Liam and the local McDonalds restaurant for their continuing support of the Wildcats.
