That’s the verdict of the SWPL sides newest signing Stephanie Milne, who has returned to the club following a spell with Aberdeen.
Stephanie’s originally signed for Farmington the summer of 2009, prior to the commencement of that years ‘short season’ which in turn lead into the first year of ‘summer football’ in 2010. Previously with East End Girls in Aberdeen, Steph would go onto make over 25 appearances during an 18 month spell, before work commitments forced her to return north.

“I had just started a new job and that, added to the travel to and from Forfar made getting to training regularly really difficult initially, and then ultimately impossible” explains Steph. “However things have changed, previous logistical problems resolved, and I’m just delighted to have this opportunity to return to Forfar Farmington”
“I had always enjoyed my time at Forfar, and it was a wrench to leave. However now that I am back I can see the same enjoyable and professional atmosphere has been maintained, but there is no doubt that there has been a progression and improvement within the team since my last spell.”
Despite being regularly involved in Aberdeen’s starting line-up, Steph admits that a regular start each week wasn’t tantamount to ensuring her own motivation.
“I will need to train hard and raise my game to try and claim a place in the starting line up, but at this stage of my career it’s not just about playing games, but also developing myself in a challenging training environment.”
“Although there are a few new faces, the same great team spirit has been maintained in the dressing room, and I have to admit I was really proud to take to the field as a Forfar Farmington against Kilmarnock a few weeks back”
Assistant Coach Kevin Candy added “We’re really delighted to have Stephanie back in the fold, as her talents have never been in doubt. Whilst she performed well with us during her first spell, the Steph that we have now is in absolutely magnificent condition, and has shown a hunger and desire that’s clearly been revitalised during her spell away from us.”
