Two of the club’s U-13 sides faced teams from Arbroath CSC on Saturday morning with differing outcomes.
The Wildcats, facing a youthful Arbroath side, notched a victory by the odd goal in 20, with Young (7), Roberts (4), Valentine (3), McEwan (2), Stark, Cameron, Balfour and Dryden all on the scoresheet.
Elsewhere the Eagles were unlucky to suffer a 10-3 reveal at the hands of Arbroath’s "A" side.
The Easgles struggled to settle in their first competitive game, losing 3 early goal before Chloe Reilly slotted home the home teams first league goal from just inside the box, the girls then conceded another 4 goals before half-time, the quick front players Arbroath side capitalising on defensive mistakes.
After half time the girls seem to settle much better in the second half, but still conceded another 2 goals. Dawn Stewart then struck with a sweet left foot drive from the edge of the box after winning the ball inside her own half and going on a great individual run and smashing home.
The Eagles defence still seemed to struggle with the speed of the Arbroath strikers who pounced again with another 2 goals, before Chloe Reilly gave the home team a late consolation goal. Arbroath then had the final say with another goal late on.
A pleasing second half display from the girls who really turned the game around after a very one sided first half.
Team: Holly Milne (gk), Chloe Brown, Dawn Stewart, Chloe Ross, Lauren Durward, Rachel Brunton, Cara Florence, Chloe Reilly, Amanda Leigh.
