Farmington Blues U-13 have continued their preparations for the 2012 season.

Last weekend the blues, who will debut in U-13s football in 2012, travelled to face an experienced Lomond Colts side who held a three goal lead come the half time break. In the second period the young Farmington side started to adjust to the increased speed of U-13 football, and were able to find goals through Lois Miller and Erin Thomson. However the colts were able to double their goal haul to secure the win.

A week later Monifieth Reds came a calling to Forfar, with plenty of goals on show for the passing spectator. Miller and Thomson (2) were on target once again, ably assisted by Bethany Kiddie, Caitlin Mitchell, Leah White and the prolific Leila Strachan who hit the target on no less then six occasions! The final score line of 12-8 reflected Monifieth’s contribution to an entertaining affair, with the Reds’ goals being limited thanks to some brave saves from Blues Goalkeeper Sherie Stewart.
