Awards Night for Real Farmington
Forfar Farmington's U13 side, Real Farmington, celebrated their hugely successful 2009 season in the clubhouse at the Market Muir last Friday night with the trophies being presented by Kevin Mackie of Mackie Motors.

Kevin generously stepped in to provide transport when the girls trip to Manchester in the summer was threatened by a last minute hitch. Real retained the East region U13 league and cup double in 2009 without a losing a single match; their only defeat at their own level was by Motherwell Girls in the Scottish Cup semi-final at Stirling. In July, the girls entered the prestigious Umbro Tournament in Manchester and playing up a level against U15 sides, came away as runners-up. Tournaments at their own level were won in Drumchapel and Edinburgh as well as triumphing in the Forfar Festival event in the summer. An incredible total of 9 of the girls were selected for SFA regional squads and national training camps, with Chloe Dunn representing her country at schoolgirl level. The girls now move up to U15 and eleven a side for the coming 2010 season with their management team of Paul White, Alastair Donald, David Dickson, Gogs McFarlane and Drew Brannan certain they will cope with the new challenge.
